From concept to completion… and beyond…
definteco’s consultants worked directly as part of the Owner’s team, and were integral to the successful completion of Project 423 – a 73 metre new-build superyacht delivered by Nobiskrug in September 2013.
Our team was asked to produce initial concepts for the Owner which were then developed into a fully detailed specification for tender purposes. This specification combined all the areas detailed in our Systems page into a single, cohesive integrated solution.
Once a sub-contractor was appointed, the definteco team acted as the main liaison between all parties involved to ensure the Owner’s requirements were met at all stages of the build process. We continue to be actively involved with the project, helping the Owner to develop and optimise the systems on-board.
30m River Barge Refit
A quart in a pint pot…
The definteco team was asked to provide concepts for a new AV and IT system to be installed on an existing custom river barge as part of a major remodelling/refit project. Due to the nature of the existing vessel, space in all areas was at an absolute premium, so the proposed concepts needed to optimise space whilst still delivering all the features and functionality required by the Owner.
Throughout the project, we worked closely with the shipyard and interior designer to deliver a final solution that met the Owner’s brief without any compromise to the user experience.
50m Superyacht Refit
Out with the old…
definteco carried out a full survey of the existing AV and IT systems on-board a 50m superyacht that was first launched in 2007, and whose on-board technology needed modernisation.
Following the survey, a detailed report was prepared for the Owner explaining our findings and subsequent recommendations. This included a concept design and budget costs for the refit solution, based around the existing cable infrastructure, as this was to be retained. This report was well received and the definteco team was asked to oversee the refit, which was successfully delivered in February 2017.
